PIOGA's Environmental Committee is pleased to host this training in conjunction with our partnerLaurel Oil & Gas Corporation, a GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc.owned company.
Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST's), Secondary Containment for AST's, Silica - Monitoring, Safety, the Regulations and You
Storage of oil, condensate and produced water in above ground storage tanks is common world-wide in our industry and an accepted practice. However, here in the northeast where we have to deal with "exceptional quality" or high quality" waters they can pose a huge liability if not inspected, repaired and contained within state approved secondary containment.
Silica poses huge health hazards during loading and unloading both at the terminal, "sand-silo storage" at your completion company's yard and on your location during completion operations. Silicosis can be prevented by monitoring the areas of loading and unloading of silica (frac sand) and using proper PPE based on the monitoring results.
Attend this PIOGATech seminar to hear from industry experts on both of these very important subjects. Learn the regulations governing above ground storage tanks (AST's) and the secondary containment necessary to satisfy the state requirements. Also learn about monitoring the silica dust at your facility or wellsite and the protection necessary to keep your people safe.
