David Foster is currently a Distinguished Associate at the Energy Futures Initiative, a not-for-profit energy policy think tank founded by former U.S. Secretary of Energy, Dr. Ernest Moniz. He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the chief author of the annual U.S. Energy and Employment Report.
Foster also served as Senior Advisor for Industrial and Economic Policy to the U.S. Secretary of Energy from 2014-17 on energy, environment, climate, and economic and workforce development. At the Department of Energy, he oversaw production of the annual U.S. Energy & Employment Report and created several workforce initiatives.
Mr. Foster has extensive experience speaking to industry, labor, and policy leaders around the world, including the United Nations, U.S. Congress, and Canadian Parliament.
