Want to learn to keep more of your hard-earned money? Want to learn to reduce your tax bill?
The PIOGA Tax Committee is pleased to partner with Arnett Carbis Toothman (ACT), to host a special oil and gas tax and accounting seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year's seminar will cover all the federal, state, and local taxes that we face in the oil and gas industry. This interactive seminar by the Arnett Carbis Toothman associates will highlight specific tax topics and show you how each topic relates to current happenings in the industry and how they interact with each other. Planning will be emphasized and you will be able to ask specific questions or have input during the presentations. A detailed outline of each technical session topic will be provided on site including an extensive resource section with support for tax topics covered as well as general industry information such as a detailed glossary of industry terms and a listing of geological formations where gas and oil are produced.
Come and hear about the oil and gas industry in the Appalachian area learn about what actually happens when leases are obtained, wells are drilled, and gas, oil and liquids are produced and sold. Detailed information will be provided concerning Pennsylvania income and production taxes based on presenter experience and meetings with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
During this 6-hour time period, we will cover all tax topics for the oil and gas industry and how they interact with each other. In this critical time when the oil and gas industry is changing for all sizes of owners, operators and mineral owners, it is critical to understand where we are now, where we are going, and to adjust as best we can with all the information we can find. This seminar will discuss all of these options and opportunities.
New this year, we will provide a forum for those who are very much involved in oil and gas tax, accounting, and revenue distribution areas, giving them the key information they need to perform their jobs as well as possible. At the same time, for those who may not be as technically involved in certain topics, we will share information to help them understand better what is going on and to consider how they may fit into this very large and growing oil and gas industry.  This seminar will be beneficial to not only  accountants and attorneys - but bankers, insurance agents, royalty owners and investors will also get value out of this seminar. We also have found that this is an opportunity to meet others in the industry and to network at a very high level with very capable people.
The course will offer six hours of continuing education credits for accountants and attorneys. The fee for this one-day seminar, which includes all handout materials, meals, and beverages, is $250 per person for PIOGA members and $350 for non-PIOGA members. The overall coverage of such a variety of technical topics for the oil and gas industry is not found in any other single location and definitely not in a one day event such as this. Plan to attend; you will not be disappointed in the value of your participation.
Register online (above) or download the Registration Form. Deadline to register is November 10, 2015 Payments must be received prior to the seminar.
Should you have any questions, please contact Danielle Boston at If you have specific questions concerning the technical issues to be covered during the seminar, or if you would like a particular item to be covered during the presentation, please contact Don Nestor or any other associate at Arnett Carbis Toothman at 1-800-924-0729.
