The PIOGA Tax Committee is pleased to partner with Arnett Carbis Toothman (ACT), to host a special oil and gas tax and accounting seminar from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The course will offer 6.0 CLE credits for attorneys licensed in Pennsylvania and West Virginia as well as 7.2 hours of CPE for accountants (see NASBA registry sponsor information below). The fee for this one-day seminar, which includes all handout materials, meals, and beverages, is $250 per person for PIOGA members and $350 for non-PIOGA members.
The overall coverage of such a variety of technical topics for the oil and gas industry is not found in any other single location and definitely not in a one day event such as this. Plan to attend; you will not be disappointed in the value of your participation.
What will be covered in the seminar?
This year'sseminar will cover all financial reporting as well as federal, state, and local taxes that we face in the oil and gas industry.This interactive seminar by the Arnett Carbis Toothman associates will highlight specific topics and show you how each topic relates to current happenings in the industry and how they interact with each other. Planning will be emphasized and you will be able to ask specific questions or have input during the presentations.A detailed outline of each technical session topic will be provided on site including an extensive resource section with support for tax topics covered as well as general industry information such as a detailed glossary of industry terms and a listing of geological formations where gas and oil are produced.
Examples of specific topics to be covered during our current oil and gas economic situation include actions to consider instead of waiting for prices and demand to return, analysis of what you have, where it should be and who should own and control it now and in the future. Balancing owner desires and financial risk and bankruptcy potential for you and others will also be covered.
